Description
MASK Shadow — fluorocarbon line on a 30 m spool, diameter 0,296 mm.
Fluorocarbon is nearly invisible in water because its refractive index is close to that of water. It is harder than monofilament, so it stands up better to teeth and abrasion — which is why it is used for leaders.
Diameter is chosen by the fish and the conditions: thinner is less visible and lets the
bait move naturally, thicker takes more load and stands up better to rubbing on stones or
shells. A short 30 m spool suits leaders — it lasts a long time and the line does not age on
the spool.
