Description
Pupa is a larva that works both in commercial fisheries and in a river.
It is made of a softer material than typical lures for river predators. On the one hand this gives an excellent action; on the other, the fish feels no resistance and takes the lure into its mouth more confidently — which is what matters most here.
The softness of the material allows trout fishing with minimal animation, supported by strong natural attractants (Pupa comes in two scent versions: crayfish and cheese). A motionless lure lying on the bottom is just as attractive to a passive fish as a larva drifting temptingly in the water column.
The compact shape adds mass and very good casting properties — you can cast a long way with minimal weight.
Pupa is exceptionally versatile: it allows many presentations, from passive movements near the bottom to active animation just under the surface. The depth and the character of the action depend on how it is mounted on the hook.
